In response to overwhelming requests for the Junior Ninety with a dual humbucker layout,
we decided we'd go big or go home!
Our new Thorn "Pasadena 80" neck and bridge humbuckers are voiced to deliver
great lead tones and rhythm sounds handling classic rock, blues and even rock-a-billy. A
round, even-toned, mid-output humbucker with a very clear and articulate neck position
that's never muddy and a bridge position that's never too bold or too bright.
Where the Pasadena 80 leaves off the Pasadena 86 takes over with a slightly hotter output
to drive the front end of your amplifier. The bridge position retains the articulation of
the Pasadena 80 and adds that extra bit of push, while the neck position provides an even
low-midrange drive.
The lightly chambered body configuration allows for either the Hardtail or the Tremolo
bridge.
Each incredible "Flames on Flame" design is individually hand striped and
painted by Glenn Matejzel and Dan Lawrence - the two masters of graphics. The inlaid flame
maple top is the perfect canvas for the hot rod flame's natural outlines and the unlimited
candy color combinations. No stencils, no decals...these will be hand striped in the
traditional way and no two will be exactly the same.
