This is a smokin' cool Thorn. That BRW has a wonderful broken-in feel that is so smooth
and inviting, I just love touching it. The Wagners sound terrific, as always, and work
perfectly with the rosewood neck. Dan didn't want any wimpy Strat tones out of this one,
so all 5 positions are humcancelling/series settings that slowly change from thick creamy
lows in the neck to grindy bite in the bridge. A humbucker lover's dream.
Throw in a little piezo for added dimension and shimmer, too cool!
The looks aren't too shabby either. The top is one amazing boat-quake quilt that looks
like the surface of the sun on fire. Todd's original design is still one of my favorites
and this is changed up a little just to be different from #024. Pluto is still represented
as a planet...oh well .
Dan, your excitement on the phone the other day made my week! I appreciate your
enthusiasm, kindness and patience this whole time - you rock and here's to hoping #174
rocks you!
Thanks much,
