Initial Tone Report:
What I like best about this is that Big Mike hand selected every piece of wood. So, if it came out sounding like crud I was off the hook. :p
Lucky for me, this guitar sounds absolutely killer. The double-cut shape doesn't have quite the low end grunt that a 'burst usually has, but what it does have is excellent clarity, definition and endless sustain. The pickups are out of phase in the middle position just like Peter Green's and wow, what a sound!
Supernatural, baby!
Vintage PAF tone with vintage looks along with some modern details - oh yeah!.

Big Mike, you're my bud - enjoy it and thanks!

Ron

Here is the much anticipated, Peter Green inspired, faded lemon-drop tone machine.
I will refer to it as the "Amp Killer" since last week's test run at very high volume.
The sweet smell of tone was quickly replaced with the pungent aroma of melting wires and sizzling bacon...breakfast is served, today's special is the Allen Old Flame combo. :|
