Initial Tone Report:

This is the second Thorn I've put Suhr pickups in. Both had identical wood specs too I now realize. They both sound very similar...harsh. Not in a bad way, more so in a down and gritty kinda way. Hesam won't be vamping on any jazz chords here, he might even have a hard time with a blues shuffle...this here guitar is about the heavy duty, heavy duty Rock and Roll!.

It probably the most agressive Thorn built to date. I hope Hesam will be pushing it through, at the least, a Marshall half-stack :p

I must note that it does have a gentle side to it too...the piezo. The only controls for it is the 3-way mini. Everything is tucked inside and pre-set to a balanced level. In the "up" position, it's the hums only. In the "middle" position, the internal blend between the hums and the piezo, and in the "down" position it's piezo only where the Volume now controls the piezo level. The internal mono/stereo button is left in mono. It's actually a nice clean set-up and reduces the number of doodads on the face.

That's it, a fairly simple Artisan Master but gorgeous all the same. Hesam, you've been very patient and understanding...I honestly hope you love it!

Thanks,
Ron
