Artisan Deluxe  # 109

Body: Bookmatched Black Limba :eek
Neck: Black Limba
Fretboard: BRW
Pickups: Lollar P-90s - neck & middle. WCR Fillmore - Bridge
Thorn Tremolo
Color: Natural
Tone: Unreal

After this many black limba + P-90 Thorns to come around, I'm always confident that it's gonna be a winner. It's so proven now, that it's almost predictable how it's gonna sound.
However, this Thorn features a pickup combo not yet used and wow, what a combo.
The Lollars in the neck have way more glassiness than I remember in other 3 P-90 Thorns. Very Strat-like in the #2 position, I am absolutely in love with this position on this guitar. Then there is the Fillmore in the bridge...boom! Yeah, flick it back and put the pedal to the metal. I love it almost as much.
Bill, I hope the long wait was worth it. I must admit that saying I was "relieved" that it turned out as cool as it did is an understatement to say the least.
This guitar just cooks and I couldn't be happier that it's yours!

Enjoy and thanks as always,
Ron

At the Thornfest 2006 in Maryland, Ron had set up a surprise for Bill.  Little did he know that in one of these cases would be his new Black Limba Tone Monster.
