Initial Tone Report:

I have been waiting for years to hear a set of Jim's single coils. As most of you know, I like single coils. I like them a lot. These do not let me down. I wasn't sure what to expect, but what they provide is that classic glassy bell tone. Not too vintagey, even though they have staggard poles. Not Texas Special mid-rangey either. A classic great sounding single coil tone which just simply works.
The bridge rocks and isn't that much hotter than the singles. A super strat with a twist.

The 5-way is set up like a Strat. One of the mini's splits the humbucker. The other mini is unique in that it automatically splits the humbucker and adds the neck pickup, regardless of where the 5-way is set. Like a Tele tone blow-switch.

Visually, it's beauty vs industrialism. The satin and sterling contrast against the killer koa, a great look.

This makes 5 Thorns for Rich...Go, Rich Go!!!!
